In 1959, we independently developed a pile brush featuring countless short bristles set at an angle.
We applied for patents in Japan and internationally, releasing it under the registered trademark
"Etiquette® Brush." Since then, we have continued to work on developing new types of brushes
and currently manufacture and sell a wide range of Etiquette® brush-related products,
including those for clothing, cleaning, and pets.
The Brush that is the Origin of Nippon Seal.
Nippon Seal originally began with the manufacture of pile fabric (moquette), which is used for seats on trains and buses. Eventually, we discovered that rubbing train seats with a pile fabric that had the fibers lying flat could effectively remove dust and lint. This discovery is the origin of the current Etiquette® brush. In 1959, we independently developed a pile brush with countless angled bristles and obtained patents worldwide. Thus, the Etiquette® brush quickly became known to many people.
