BUSINESS
Industrial Materials Group
We have infused our ideas into pile fabric and developed our own etiquette brushes and handy cleaners.
By further applying this material, we are expanding its use to components for home appliances,
copy machines, and other industrial materials, thus creating value in new fields
beyond merely being a textile manufacturer.
New Possibilities for Pile Fabrics
Pile fabric is a special type of fabric in which pile threads are woven between the warp and weft yarns, creating a raised surface. In 1959, we independently developed the "Etiquette® Brush," which features slanted pile threads. In 1973, we launched the Mira Cleaner®, a vacuum cleaner nozzle that utilizes the etiquette brush. By 1978, we began supplying brush parts for vacuum cleaner nozzles to Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd. (now Panasonic Holdings Corporation). Since then, this material has been applied in brushes for various industrial uses, including vacuum cleaners, air conditioners, air purifiers, copiers, and ATMs.
